The Michigan Education Association has partnered with Michigan's great professional sports teams to encourage kids to read. The Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers support this effort with discount tickets for students who read books and have a teacher or parent document their accomplishments at MichiganReads.com

The program is easy and is open to all students throughout Michigan – From elementary school through high school – as long as they can read. Any book is eligible. The only request is that the books be age appropriate.
